Build It Green! NYC officially launches its deconstruction program. After much popular demand, we are now offering free removal/deconstruction for high value kitchen cabinet sets. You can also hire BIG!NYC for other deconstruction projects. Our new Deconstruction Manager Max Rubinstein will evaluate your project whatever the size.

Build it Green! NYC was given a spot this month in New York Magazine's "Best Of" issue. We're glad to be recognized for what we do, and thankful to all our customers and friends for their continued support. Below is a reprint of the article. See you at the warehouse!

In other exciting recycling news, yesterday the City Council passed a plastic bag recycling bill. The bill will require stores over 5000 sqft to offer plastic bag recycling containers and track the resulting recycling. The bill is a good first step increasing recycling for plastic bags.

All 5 boroughs of NYC now have special waste drop off sites that accept a lot of things that are hard to dispose of normally. Any paint that we do not or cannot accept can be disposed of at these locations. Details, along with site locations can be found by following the link below, to NYC sanitation's web page. Please help NYC recycle and bring your special wastes to these locations!
