These are instructions for those needing assistance from Build It Green. Please send an email to our outreach coordinator, Dylan Latimer--dylan@bignyc.org--with numbered answers to the questions below. In the subject heading, please put in "APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE." Put all of your answers in the BODY of your email. Do NOT attach them as a separate document in another format.

If we do decide to sponsor you, be aware of the following requirements from Build it Green:

• You must list BIG as a sponsor on your website and all printed materials. If there is a public display aspect to your project, you will need to display our Build It Green Sponsor card at the space. For this and other Build It Green graphics and logos, see the page on our website: bignyc.org/pressgraphics.
• You must use all materials that you receive from BIG in your project.

After you submit your application, our Outreach Coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please respond to the following numbered questions:

1. Name & contact info
2. Name of organization & brief description
3. Website Address
4. Is the organization a 501c3 non-profit? If yes, please indicate tax id number.
5. Please indicate type of work the organization does: Arts; Public or Private Charity; Environmental Non-Profit; Civic Group; Community Gardens; Education.
6. Explain the project you need help with. Be very specific. Explain EXACTLY what it is you are doing. Be detailed and concrete, not abstract.
7. List the materials you need from B.I.G. & an estimate of the materials value. Again, be as specific as possible.
8. Explain how and when you will promote Build It Green on your press materials, at your work site, on your website, etc. Who is your audience? Be able to explain Build it Green's mission to people who ask.

DON'T FORGET to put "APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE" in the Subject Line of your email. Your email may not be read if you do not do so.

Build It Green has a limited budget and cannot support every organization that applies. We support a limited number of organizations per year. The type of projects we especially like to support include environmentally sustainable building projects, community gardens and work that will help spread the word about Build It Green.
