INTERNSHIPS AT BUILD IT GREEN!NYC

Build It Green!NYC is always looking for competent and committed volunteers and interns to help us do our work. Build It Green!NYC is a fast-paced, creative environment. This is the perfect fit for a student looking to gain real-world experience. While the internship is unpaid, BIG!NYC can offer class credit.

Build It Green! History

Build It Green! NYC is a program in partnership with Community Environmental Center. Community Environmental Center (CEC) was established as a not-for-profit organization in 1994 to assist people throughout the New York metropolitan area in achieving a healthier, more affordable life by improving their home and community environments with educational and technical assistance services.

What We Do

Build It Green! NYC, is New York City's only non-profit retail outlet for salvaged and surplus building materials. Our warehouse has everything from panel doors to high end refrigerators and shutters to movie props. Our mission is to keep these materials out of the landfill, while offering deep discounts on their resale.

Our Supporters

Build It Green! NYC depends on the donations of hundreds of individuals to keep building materials out of the landfill and to allow us keep providing our service. We thank all of you for your efforts to conserve our precious natural resources and protecting the environment of the New York City Metropolitan Area.
