How to donate

1. Check list of accepted items.

If your donations is on the list then…

2. Drop off your Donation:

Drop off materials during store hours up to 30 minutes before closing. Check our List of Accepted Items to make sure your materials are acceptable. If you are not sure your donations are acceptable, fill out our webform for confirmation. BIG!NYC reserves the right to turn away the donation of materials that do not meet our standards.

3. Request a Pick-Up:

BIG!NYC provides limited pick-up service for high quality kitchen cabinets sets and appliances. Other high value donations will also be considered on a case by case basis. Use our webform or call Forrest at 718-777-0132 x22 to ask if your load qualifies for pickup.

If your donation does qualify for our free pickup service, BIG!NYC requires that someone is available at the site of the pickup on the specified day between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  We will do our best to be flexible with your situation, and will work with you to try and shrink this window down if possible and we also take into account such time constraints as hours that the service elevator can be used, situations within your building, etc. And on the day of your pickup our drivers will call you when they are approaching your site.

BIG!NYC also requires that everything that was agreed upon when your donation was scheduled, is donated.  If items that were offered are taken off the list, Forrest needs to be notified BEFORE your scheduled pick-up time, to see if you still qualify for free our pickup service. If we arrive at your location and the donation has been misrepresented or changed appreciably, we reserve the right to decline your donation.

Donation Information

Donate reusable building materials that you no longer need to Build It Green! NYC for a tax-deductible receipt (CEC is a 501 c (3) not-for-profit organization). Please be aware that materials are accepted at staff discretion.
