Background: 
Alan is also a graduate from Bard College, with a Literature Degree in 2009. He really likes Herman Melville, so much so that he wrote his undergraduate thesis on him! In his short time out of college, Alan’s already managed the bookstore at the “Skyscraper Museum”, interned for “Book Forum” magazine, worked at “Blank Paper Design and Build” in Seattle and volunteered for 4 months in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. Alan really likes to skateboard, and ride his bicycle in a full body spandex cycling suit. This summer he even spent a couple of weeks in the South of France, and entered a cycling race, and came in first place! Nice work Alan! Must be the spandex.
