In 2012 BIG!NYC:
* Diverted 1,200 tons of reuseable building materials from the landfill
* Donated over 57 tons of lumber to community & school gardens. That's 1,200 raised garden beds in NYC!
* Gave away $58,780 worth of materials to local organizations.

Background: 
Robert was born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Sunrise, Florida. He attended Full Sail University for Recording Arts to pursue his passion for Hiphop and art. After some time there he decided college wasn't for him. He then moved back to New York to be with family and to find work. Through the YAIP internship program in Bronx Community College he discovered BIGNYC and immediately was drawn to the mission.
