• The Durst Organization

    Durst, one of NYC's oldest, largest, and "greenest" privately owned real estate firms, gave us a startup grant.

    Founded in 1915, Durst is widely recognized as a world leader in the development of technologically advanced and environmentally responsible commercial property. Its flagship tower at 4 Times Square was recognized as the first "green" high-rise office building in the United States, and has been praised by environmentalists. The Durst Organization hired Build It Green!NYC to perform a skim deconstruction of at its development at 1 Bryant Park and St.Francis Apartment Building providing the material used to originally stock our store. The Durst Organization also provided a grant to allow the founding of Build It Green! NYC.

Now serving customers throughout the Northeast and Southeast. The Strober Organization delivered 4 large truckloads of surplus windows and doors to Build It Green!NYC.

  • Community Environmental Center

    Community Environmental Center is the proud founder of Build It Green! NYC. CEC provides a substantial amount of support for the daily operations of Build It Green! CEC is a non-profit contractor that will weatherize your home or "green" your construction project!

  • Empire State Development Corporation

    Empire State Development (ESD), Build It Green!NYC's primary funder, encourages and supports activities that both strengthen the State's economy and protect and preserve the environment. To accomplish this, ESD offers a range of resources to help businesses identify and transform environmental concerns into market opportunities and competitive advantages. Through its Environmental Services Unit (ESU), ESD provides New York State businesses with the tools they need to understand and comply with environmental regulations and provides financial assistance for investments in projects that improve business productivity and competitiveness through enhanced environmental performance.     Mensch Mill and Lumber is a Full Service Lumber Yard, offering a Full line of all building materials from Lumber and Architectural Millwork to Commercial and Industrial Hardware. Mensch delivered a semi truck load of surplus doors to Build It Green!NYC.
